Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5, 1956, in Woodland Hills California. Her father was an elementary school teacher, while her mother was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her brothers older than her. McCormick is always a fan of dancing, singing and creating performances with puppets. When she was just 6, McCormick won at the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her to ask whether the actress was looking to pursue a career in show business. McCormick got her first job as a leading actress in the year 1964. She was featured in an advertisement for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. That same year, she was featured in a second commercial on television for Chatty-Cathy's doll. After that, she was commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of the character Wind It up and It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was in the company of over 1200 other kids who auditioned for the role of the oldest towheaded girl in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom featured Florence Henderson and Robert Reed who were newlyweds with the same family as a blended one. This show lasted for five seasons. McCormick's autobiography Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in the year 2008. In it she revealed that McCormick nearly lost her virginity on the sets of the show in the fifth season, when she was a victim to Barry Williams. She was 16 years old at the time and he was just 19. This timing wouldn't have worked for us, she informed me.
