America Ferrera
America Georgine Ferrera was an American actress best known for her role as the lead character on the show on television 'Ugly Betty.' She had a passion for acting ever since school and performed in many school productions. Her first film, "Real Women Have Curves", brought her fame. While her performance in "The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants' garnered her more recognition and critical acclaim, she also won praise as the main character in the TV show 'Ugly The show won numerous Best Actress Awards, including the Golden Globe Award, the Screen Actors Guild Award, and the Primetime Emmy Award. Congresswoman Hilda L. Solis has been lauded for her role as an "role-model" to young Hispanic females in the field of entertainment. Ferrera is a part of Time magazine's list containing 100 influential individuals across the globe in 2007, was named one. She has been a vocal supporter for the 'Save The Children Campaign' and also its ambassador.
